JROTC Mission Statement
“To motivate young people to be better citizens.” JROTC prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens.
JROTC Core Abilities
The JROTC Core Abilities describe the broad, life-long skills that every cadet needs for success in future life and career endeavors. The core abilities are a result of the goals and values that drive the JROTC program and are built upon over the program’s four years through integrating various lesson competencies and skills throughout the JROTC curriculum.
The JROTC Core Abilities are:
Build your capacity for life-long learning.
Communicate using verbal, non-verbal, visual, and written techniques.
Take responsibility for your actions and choices.
Do your share as a good citizen in your school, community, country, and the world.
Treat self and others with respect.
Apply critical thinking techniques.
JROTC Cadet Creed
I am an Army Junior ROTC Cadet.
I will always conduct myself to bring credit to my family, country, school and the Corps of Cadets.
I am loyal and patriotic.
I am the future of the United States of America.
I do not lie, cheat or steal and will always be accountable for my actions and deeds.
I will always practice good citizenship and patriotism.
I will work hard to improve my mind and strengthen my body.
I will seek the mantle of leadership and stand prepared to uphold the Constitution and the American way of life.
May God grant me the strength to always live by this creed.
